We like the idea of hanging tissue paper pom-poms from the ceiling of a nursery or kid's room (or maybe as decoration for a baby shower). They're lightweight so you don't have to worry about them coming crashing down on baby and easy and inexpensive to make.
When shopping and trying out baby gear, we know it's quite easy to get overwhelmed by all the bells and whistles that are considered product "features". Sure, you understand theoretically why a day planner pocket might be useful attached to your already ten-pound baby carrier, but, seriously, how many times are you really going to use it?
