Listography Giveaway Updated

When we said that the rate of posting here at Nested would be a bit less frequent than usual, we weren't kidding. Let's just blame much needed rest for the weary.

Thanks to everyone who submitted their list of experiences for the Listography giveaway. We were delighted to read the responses and, because we had to, picked our three favorite comments. The common theme of all the responses was an optimism on how great life can be. And people love weather! Snow and rain topping the lists of elements.

These three people will receive their own copy of the wonderfully quirky Listography. We received our copy today and just think it's great. Even if you weren't going to make lists yourself, reading the list prompts and then looking at the accompanying illustrations is loads of fun.

Now living in northern California, we don't get much rain, let along thunderstorms, so I would like my son to experience a fierce thunderstorm with hard rain under a tin roof as I did many times over in upstate NY...

and my husband would like our son to experience the thrill of hiking a mountain without a trail and starting a campfire without a permit or pre-made firepit as he did growing up in Alaska.

I would love my children to experience:

1: the thrill of caring for a shoe box full of silk worms and watching them grow and spin.

2. roasting marshmallows and eating them on a big blanket while watching the stars come out.

(these are my favourite things from when I was little)

I want my daughters to experience the joy of doing things for others without expecting (or receiving!) anything in return.

I also want them to see their Mom (me) finish her PhD and walk across the stage at graduation. It's for me AND for them. They've seen me struggle and I want them to see it was worth it.
